Former PM's autobiography due this fall
As a follow-up to yesterday’s post about the changing Canadian corporate landscape, who better to tell us his point of view than former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney? While at a book launch last evening for Fantasy in Florence, recently published by McArthur & Co. (plug: written and illustrated by Rod & Sandra McQueen and available at Amazon.ca or Indigo.ca), I met up with the publisher of Mr. Mulroney’s autobiography. It is slated for a September release.
It will cover up to 1993 (the year Mulroney retired as Prime Minister), which suggests to me that there might be a second volume up his sleeve. I also understand that it’s told in the first person and written by his nibs, and not the as-told-to type that some might have expected.
You’ll know the book is out when you see bookstores like Nicholas Hoare filled with people of a certain age (former MPs and their spouses) skimming the index, looking to see if they were mentioned.
It will be a fascinating book.
