National Bank Financial has hired two new research analysts. Jeff Sears is joining the Calgary Research Team as a Junior Oil and Gas Analyst. Jeff was previously a Research Associate with Genuity Capital Markets, and a Research Analyst/Associate with MGI Securities. Canaccord Adams’ veteran Consumer and Industrial Products Analyst Benoit Caron joined Montreal’s Research Team as a Special Situations Analyst. Prior to Canaccord, Caron was a money manager at Montrusco Bolton.

MGI Securities hired Grant Daunheimer as an E&P Research Analyst to partner with Rob Cooper who joined the MGI energy team back in September from Paramount Resources. Grant was previously with TD Newcrest.

Michael Denny has joined Research Capital as a Managing Director of Healthcare. He was previously with Westwind Partners and Orion Securities.

Ian Tharp is the new Cleantech and Renewable Energy Senior Research Analyst at Dundee Securities Corporation. Ian was previously an Investment Partner at The Quantum Leap Company.
