“Bill Murray has moved to Raymond James as a Managing Director in the Industrial and Consumer Products Group in Toronto. Bill was formerly at Versant Partners in Montreal.
Former Canaccord Trader Paul Patterson, and Debbie Fung, from Canaccord deal syndication, have also joined Raymond James.
After taking part of the summer off, Paul Sarachman has rejoined National Bank Financial as Managing Director and Head of Equity Sales, having left Blackmont Capital following Gerry Troop, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Equities, who was also at Blackmont.
Peter Deacon, VP business development at Sextant Capital Management, has left to look at other opportunities.
Scotia Cassels had a little bloodletting this week with Vera Belaoussoff Life Sciences Analyst PM, and US Equities PMs Christine Poole and David Cooke leaving the company.
And another tech analyst on the street has been culled with Scotia Capital ending their relationship with Devan Moodley.
There were some departures at Westwind Partners as Biotech Equity Research Analyst Aaron Bennett and Investment Banking, Managing Director, Michael Denny left the firm. The two joined the company together and may end up landing as a team.
Fraser Mackenzie has picked up two research analysts. David Denduk in life sciences came from Haywood Securities and John Sefrance in Industrial and Clean Energy Tech came from his own shop TradeYourWager.com and before that from First Associates (prior to the Blackmont merger).
Phil Benson has joined Fraser Mackenzie as Director of Investment Banking, having worked briefly at MPartners.
In an uncommon Calgary to Toronto move, Chris Shaw, former Associate with Westwind Partners has joined Desjardins’ Real Estate team and will be relocating to Toronto.”
