Richard Scott PGA School update

After three rounds, Canadian Richard Scott is tied for 11th place in the second stage of qualifying school for next year’s PGA Tour. He was the top Canadian scorer at the Callaway Gardens-Mountain View Golf Course in Georgia, one of the four sites to hold stage two events this week. Wellington Financial is one of Richard’s corporate sponsors.

Also playing in Richard’s tournament are Ian Leggatt, Len Mattiace (the man Mike Weir beat for the Masters’ Championship) and Olin Browne.

The top 20 in this event proceed to the final round. From there you either get your PGA Tour card (25 are available) for next year or you wind up (happily) receiving some status on the Nationwide Tour.
