Another good tech research analyst left Bay Street this week, and it doesn’t bode well for the dozens of up-and-coming small cap technology companies looking for a considered hearing. This time, the highly esteemed Duncan Stewart has decided to move on to greener pastures. And his diligent work, pithy insights and good humour will be sorely missed at Orion Securities.

But as Paul Steep (ranked analyst at Scotia), David Hodgson (ranked analyst at Genuity), Farhan Syed (PM at HOOP), Chris Umiastowski (ranked analyst at TDSI), Mark Maybank (mgmt at Canaccord), etc., will attest, there’s a great big world out there, just dying to hear the perspectives of talented observers of the Canadian tech universe.
