CPPIB draws more critical attention, but to what end?

I have been following your posts on the CPPIB with great interest and quite frankly utter astonishment at what appears to be yet another highly opaque “agency which is a force entirely onto itself” … This seems very common in many of these near government organizations characterized by exponential growth in compensation for senior managers with little or no accountability or oversight.

I share your concerns particularly related to comments like this ““If they raise the amount taken off your paycheque by 50%, in less than five years we’re right back where we are now.” WTF!

The greater problem and thread worth exploring perhaps in more detail is do Canadian near government organizations have systemic governance (or better yet, lack of governance) issues?
